How I've been using ChatGPT to work with images
Lately, I’ve been using ChatGPT to do different tasks with the image files I have. Here are some of them that will simplify some of your everyday tasks.
1. Turn images into a video
You can use ChatGPT to turn images into a video.
You only need to provide an image and ask ChatGPT to animate the image from left to right (and do some extra prompting).
Here’s a demo.

2. Extract text from an image
You can easily extract text from a PDF file using ChatGPT. You simply have to upload the PDF file you want to work with and use the prompt below.
OCR an image for me and generate a text file.
Here’s a quick demo.
3. Extract colors from an image to create a palette.png
Have you ever wanted to know the exact colors that are on your pictures, so that you can reuse them in text, background, etc?
Well, now you can extract colors from an image by uploading them to ChatGPT and using the prompt below.
Create a script that extract the top X colors from a picture. Then make it into a palette.png to download.
Here’s a demo.
As you can see, there’s a lot of code being executed in the background, and at the end, you get a link to download the palette.png.
4. Image optimization
Another cool thing you can do after uploading an image to ChatGPT is to optimize it. After uploading an image, you can use one of the prompts below to optimize it.
