I used to do squats every day when I was an athlete, but when my career ended and my academic life started, I almost forgot what physical activity was. I would spend hours and days sitting in front of the computer and only get up a few times a day.
After graduation, I realized that my physical condition had deteriorated to the point where it was worse than that of an office worker. I would get out of breath easily when running, I gained a few kilos and worst of all, I had knee pain.
Yes, I’m only 25 years old, but I already have knee pain like most athletes who have practiced long and triple jump. This affected my health negatively, and even with light physical activity, I felt pain in my knees.
That’s why I decided to get back into sports. I remembered that squats were always part of my training as an athlete, so I decided to do a small experiment and start doing squats every day for six months.
